For the past 5 years I have created and facilitated creative dramatics classes for 4 & 5 year olds based on the books of Eric Carle, Karma Wilson, Jan Yolen, Eric Litwin, and Anna Dewdney. These classes are created to stimulate the imagination and explore. Connections are explored through dramatic play, music, movement, and puppetry. The focus is on creative expression and promoting social skills such as active listening and sharing.

Working with the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland to facilitate a series of workshops to students in secondary schools aimed at developing coping skills and emotional expression through the arts. For greater sustainability. workshops are also presented to the teachers and parents at the schools.

Created and facilitated a week-long arts-integrated residency at Whispering Oaks Elementary School. Focus was placed on the students’ learning of government and civic duties combined with learning performance and presentation skills. Students applied this knowledge through the creation and performance of political advertisements utilizing the various forms of media propaganda.

February 07, 2012

Created and facilitated a 5 week long residency intended for high school aged students at Evans High School. Sessions focused on the history and concepts of Theatre for Social Change.

April 08, 2013

Collaborated with teaching artists specializing in puppetry and music to create a five-week residency for two local elementary schools. Devised an original story incorporating science curriculum standards and figures from Black History month to reinforce the students’ learning in those areas while they learned in a specific art area.
